Boil Water Advisory - Due to process failures at the Easley/Central Water Treatment Plant resulting in increased turbidity which is discolored water, a Boil Water Advisory is in effect until further notice. Residents are advised to boil all water vigorously for at least one (1) full minute before: drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing food. Please also discard any existing ice made from tap water.
The Town of Central is issuing this advisory out of an abundance of caution, as our water supply originates from the affected facility. This notice will remain in effect until testing confirms that water quality meets all safety standards.
We will notify the public once the advisory has been lifted.
If you have any questions, please contact Central Town Hall at (864) 639-6381.
