The Town of Central is accepting applications for a full time position in the Water and Sewer Department. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have a SC Driver License and able to obtain a CDL within 6 months. Job Applications are available at Town Hall, 1067 W Main Street Central or online at www.cityofcentral.org. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. The salary will be $28,894 - $42,647 based on qualifications. The town has an excellent benefit package.

POSTION TITLE: Sanitation Worker/ Recycling

BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position is in the Sanitation Department/ Recycling. Job consist of riding recycle truck and sanitation truck.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid driver’s license and prefer CDL, if not the ability to obtain a CDL with 6 months. Must have a High School Diploma or a (GED) General Equivalence Diploma.

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to be dependable. Collect refuse on designated route within municipality and dump refuse from containers into truck.

May perform other duties in other departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $29,120.00 per year
