Combined Utilities Maintenance Department

The Town of Central is accepting applications for 1 full-time position in the Combined Utilities Department. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have a SC Driver License but prefer CDL or must be able to obtain a CDL permit within 6 months.  Must pass a physical and drug test to be considered. The starting salary will be $28,894 - $36,840 depending on qualifications. We have an excellent benefit package.

The Town of Central is currently looking for a full-time Utility Billing Clerk. The purpose is to provide general customer assistance to individual and business utility customers. Will be responsible for opening new accounts, accepting and processing payments, closing accounts, issuing adjustments and work orders, receiving and returning phone calls and conducting general clerical duties. Must have knowledge of computers; have the ability to perform cashier duties accurately; must be a team player and have the ability to effectively communicate with the public.
